Arthur O’ Kintyre
March 26, 2009 Buckskin Colt
Clononeen Mull of Kintyre (Romeo) X WestCelt Siofra
I know many of you out there might, upon seeing his name, suppose we’ve named our newest Gypsy after the fabled King of legend. While such an homage is certainly understandable and even noble, in this instance, it is not the case. Our Arthur is humbly named after my dad, Art, and Arthur’s own sire, Clononeen Mull of Kintyre, commonly known as Romeo.
Arthur was born on a very windy night, and his mother, Siofra, made having a baby look effortless. She’s been the perfect mother: patient, affectionate, and protective without panicking. She lets us fuss over him without getting in the way. He’s just the cutest little thing, healthy and full of spunk, and we are so happy and excited to welcome him into our family.
He’s everything you’d want in a Gypsy colt. Friendly, inquisitive disposition, strong, healthy legs, short back, a sweet head with the cutest little black-tipped ears!!… maybe I’m biased… yeah, I am, but I’m sorry – he’s perfect!
Visit Arthur on his page at Desert Jewel – Jen made an awesome collage of Arthur and his mom Siofra — check it out!
